Product roadmap · Q4

Spaces becomes a forum. Every brand gets a dark mode.

Spaces

+22%Posts per day
−12%Comments per post
65%Returning members on Spaces, against 45% on the homepage

The problem: Spaces feels like a second activity feed. More is posted than ever, but it isn't turning into conversation.

  • Compact rows: six posts on a phone screen instead of one.
  • Sorted by latest comment, so active threads rise to the top.
  • No homepage in the way: members land straight in the feed.
The new Spaces feed: compact rows sorted by latest activity, with comment counts and meetups.

Dark mode and themes

Why: dark mode is expected now, not a nice to have. Themes give members a reason to return.

Brand colours: every brand gets a dark version of its own colours, so the default stays yours, with a set of themes members can choose.

Later: you set your own dark colours, pick the theme new members start on, and carry it through signup.

A brand in dark mode: featured profiles and public chats on a dark background.

Live this week

Mattr: neurodivergent friendly dating, now on HubPeople.

  • Live in two weeks, with native iOS and Android apps from day one.
  • Members keep their profiles, photos and interests, with nothing to register again.
  • Its members join the wider dating pool, well beyond London and Manchester.
  • Neurodivergence and mental health interest groups now on every Affinity brand.
15 to 20% of the UK is estimated to be neurodivergent.

Keeps getting better.

ClaudeTry the Code tab in the Claude desktop app. It’s gaining features faster than Cowork, and it works with the connector.
GrokA growing favourite with partners. Grok Bot runs routines and automations through the connector, and you can now set how it handles adult content.

Where to start
Build on the portalMove your pages onto the portal and build them with AI.
Go deep on your best brandsDo more on fewer brands, rather than a little on many.
Publish whole pagesFinished new pages, not just tweaks to old ones.
Check your numbers a month at a timeBy country and by source, then build for what's working.

There are many variables in play (ad spend, Google, the brand, your own changes).

Working together

Closer to partners, and a faster feedback loop.

1
You tell usEvery Tuesday at 2pm UK: an open call to ask questions and give feedback.
2
We change itYour feedback shapes what we build and change next.
3
We show what’s workingWhat’s actionable, what’s live, and what partners are doing with it.
Example: traffic with no sourceRaised at the 27 October workshop. Added today: when a link carries no source, we now fill it in from where the visitor came from. Fewer “not supplied”, more data.
